Block email sent to undeclared BCC (blind carbon copy) recipients.
Email sent to recipients using email’s BCC addressing is blocked. Optionally, a reply message can be returned to the sender indicating that the email was blocked because of BCC usage. The plugin will apply to all emails sent regardless of the platform, ex. desktop, web or mobile.
Benefits
- Enables BCC email usage to be shutdown.
BCC is a common legacy feature of email and widely available. Many find the ability to send hidden copies of email to third parties as a security, ethical or morale risk.
Example usage
James sends email to Mary with Bob in BCC. James’ email to Bob is blocked and James receives an email alerting him that BCC email is not permitted within the company.
